This June and July were the inaugural Hadley Common Fridays in the Pioneer Valley. Located right off the bike path in the heart of the Hadley town commons, these Friday occasions brought much joy to all who visited and helped set up. A delightfully casual beer garden with brewers from valley malt and Carrs cider house, live music, lawn games, cotton candy machine, ice cream and much much more. The event was noticeable by the large wooden pergola centered in the Hadley common green, glowing with string lights & juxtaposing the beautiful Hadley summer sky.
We at Mi Tierra were super excited to be a part of this awesome community event and enjoyed making food and spending time with our beloved valley residents on these select summer afternoons. Owners Jorge & Dora were their each of the nights cooking up Tacos, Tamales, & Tostadas in authentic Mexican Style. Their sons, daughters & extended family helping them run the show made it truly a family effort.
The surrounding towns of Amherst & Northampton seem to have many of their own celebrations & festivals that it’s about time Hadley had one of its own to match!
The Hampshire gazette was there and gave a nice write up of the event:
Thanks again to all involved in the town and valley who made this event possible, we had a terrific time and can’t wait until the next one.
